Hemkund Sahib or Sri Hemkunt Sahib Ji is a holy shrine for followers of the Sikh religion. Located on the bank of the Hemkund Lake, the holy place is 4329m above sea level. 5) The place is covered by snow during winter and is closed. It is open only from May to October.
